There are 2 things which have changed Social Media of late.... Live streaming videos on FB and other platforms have revolutionized video, and cinemagraphs are revolutionizing images.
The question is... why are Cinemagraphs such a step up from images?
The answer is actually
fairly simple. They have the simplicity of an image, and yet the eye catching nature of a video.
While the fact that they get 117% more engagement than an image is very impressive, the real proof in my mind, is when they are used in Facebook ads.
Even if you don't do Facebook ads, this
still shows their power. Using a cinemagraph for a FB ad gets so much more attention and engagement, that it jumps your relevancy sore up 4 to 5 points!
What that means is that these get so much more action, that they FB sees them as more relevant to the audience, and so you end up paying LESS per click.... and you get more results from the ads!
Now, the other reason these are awesome is that you quickly become one of the very few people making these, and you stand out... or you become a hero to your clients!
