I want to tell you about something that is in my mind revolutionary. But before I do, I want to create
some perspective.
In 1997 I was shooting wedding videos every weekend, and cable commercials during the week. For these video shoots, was using Panasonic Super VHS cameras that cost $10,000, where the size of a suitcase, had a giant tripod with A CAR BATTERY on the bottom of the tripod. I also had shoebox-sized black and white monitor with a 7 inch screen. All of this costing about $20,000 and all so I could get decent SD quality video. And for the
commercials, we had a 50 pound teleprompter bolted to the front of the camera!
Fast forward to 2020. I now have in my pocket, a camera with 4 lenses, which shoots pristine 4K video, with a much larger color screen, and I can edit the video right from within that camera... oh, and now, I can even have a teleprompter.... on the same device I am shooting with!
I am, of course, talking about my smartphone (iPhone 11 Pro Max in my case).
For a long time, I have shot video with my phone, and more recently, I even use it to shoot client videos. And while the built-in camera app is great, how would you like something BETTER? Something that takes shooting video to a new level?
Well, there is a new app called Extempore 2 that not only turns your phone into a professional shooting app, but it also has a TELEPROMPTER built in!
What does this mean? It means that you can be shooting yourself, with your selfie cam, see what you are shooting... and have your script scrolling down the screen, so you get even better videos!

This is a revolutionary advance, and an idea I have had in my head for ages, but had no idea how to create. Now I don't have to, as Karthik Ramani has done it for me :)
I had a chance to interview Karthik about this, you can check out the interview and learn all about the NEW version of Extempore!
