So, a while back, I promoted product called "Profit Pirate". And in that promotion, I did one of my review
videos, and did all of my usual video SEO... or so I thought.
After a couple days, I noticed that the video was not ANYWHERE on Google. Because "Profit Pirate" is not exactly like trying to rank for "Lose Weight", it seemed kind of odd.
So, I went through the video...
Keyword in Title.... check
Keyword in Description... check
Nice long description.... check
Tags all set.... check
Video shared to other video sites, social media sites, bookmarks, etc..... UH OH!
I forgot to syndicate the video. So, I thought... this would be a good case study. So, I took some screen shots showing no video on page one. I then syndicated the video out to all the other sites. My hope was that in a day or 2, it would suddenly POP... I was wrong
About 5 minutes later, I refreshed the page.... and that video was now #1 on page 1 of Google (still is)! This meant I had done something that very few people have ever done... proved that an SEO tactic actually worked :) (that's a joke..... kind of).
