So, there's a new term floating around lately, called 'Progressive Web Apps'.... and no,
it has nothing to do with politics :)
As you know, Google is pushing hard for a few things when it comes to websites.... mobile friendliness, security and speed.
So with Progressive Web Apps, you get a fast, mobile-first site that is secure... and can be saved as an APP on your phone (and on the desktop). And once this is an app, it can be used offline and it can send push notifications!
What does this mean? This means that you can provide sites that work on all computers and devices, has the functionality of an app... without the MASSIVE cost usually associated with a phone app... and it doesn't have to be approved either!
TOMORROW, a new software is being released that allows you to create these progressive web apps for yourself or clients, without a ton of technical skills... and with a ton of pre-made templates.
But until then, take a moment and watch this video from Todd Gross that explains PWAS even further! In fact, the video is on a very simple PWA page, so check out the features.
