So, this week was my first week running the escape room that I bought. And getting
things ready, we have fixed up their GMB, their Facebook, setup YouTube, and I even ran a FB add for just $5/day, and it seems like this has made a big difference.
Yesterday, we had a record day for rooms booked, and number of guests for a non-Christmas season Saturday. We did 431% more than the same Saturday last year, and 260% more than last Saturday.
The exciting thing is the FB ad I ran locally was for 1 particular room, and while this room had 0 customers all week, it shot to #1 for the week just through yesterday's sales.
But I really want to talk about something else I am doing, and the amazing tool I am using for this. Yesterday, I used Lead Kahuna, the tool we use for ALL of our lead gen for marketing, to gather data on all the escape rooms in the state, and all the restaurants in our town.
LeadKahuna came back with 52 escape rooms, and 141 restaurants. I then used LK to mail all the escape room owners and discuss cross-promotion between the rooms. The response was surprisingly good.... 70% opened the email and 20% clicked the link (which was to join a Georgia escape room owners FB group). I also got a ton of emails back from owners excited to cross-promote.
The restaurants were similar. 54% opened (there was nothing to click). For them I offered to exchange promo materials, where they put our materials in their restaurant, and we put their materials in our lobby. I also had many of them write back as well.
For me, cross promotion can be a HUGE part of building local business, and this is an interesting way to use Lead Kahuna, making it even more valuable!
