So, something interesting happened over the last day or so. As I mentioned yesterday, I used Video Creator to create video for the escape room.
It was AMAZING, because, while I expected templates that work for dentists and plumbers, I was SHOCKED to find one that worked for the escape room. And the best part is, it literally required me to type in a few lines of text, and upload 2 images... that's it!
Had I made something similar myself, I would have....
- Purchased a template for $25
- Opened the template in AfterEffects ($50/mo... plus a STEEP learning curve)
- Made all the manual adjustments
- Rendered it out as a video
- Brought it into FCP Pro ($299... plus that learning curve)
- Added appropriate music for $14-20
- Trimmed and edited the music to fit the video
- Exported out to the appropriate format
If you made this video, you could probably sell it to a business for $500. Would you rather...
A. Click a couple buttons and type in some text (1 minutes time)?
B. Buy a template and music, and spend a few hours using complex and pricey software?
